2011 Maybach 62 Facelift
Daimler’s most luxury automotive brand was responsible for just 200 units sold in all of 2009. It is for this reason that rumors have repeatedly surfaced that the Maybach brand is up for sale. Most recently, Chinese automaker BYD was alleged to have made a bid to purchase Maybach, although this was denied by a Daimler spokesperson. All signs point to either a massive overhaul, a shutdown, or a sale of Maybach. Unfortunately, the facelifted models do not dissuade us from this thought. There simply is not enough that has been done differently on the new vehicles to make us believe they will suddenly see a spike in sales of the car.

It’s lame to put such a big engine on Maybach. Who’s gonna need all those power with super luxury cars. V8 is more than enough.
@shweeeen1 It’s about exclusivity plus some of the best luxury cars in the world come with V or W 12s so Maybach would just cut itself short with the V8. That’s like saying why should it use leather when cloth is available.

The us is a failed dying empire. The rich and big business control all the wealth. Countless politicians are greatly influenced by corp lobbiest in finance as well as big oil. Look how many of them go to work making millions of dollars after they leave politics. All the while the dopes in the middle class argue about healthcare and the deficet while wall st laughs knowing they have there politicians by the balls. What a sick country.
How much would it cost to have a custom made stretch limo version of maybach? I have a neigbhor who has 2 one regular and the other a stretch limo version. How much does it cost to make the stretch?

I like the interior… but the exterior looks like a big and long mercedes… the phantom looks better, but the maybach interior is 10 times better…
