Creating 3-D Models to Prepare for Face Transplants
Darren Smith, MD, resident, UPMC Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, talks about a new fused 3-D model that can be manipulated by surgeons to prepare for complex face transplant surgeries. The technology is currently being developed by UPMC’s Reconstructive Transplantation Program.
