We have a pre-operative packet that’s chock full of all kinds of things to avoid, but also things that you want to take. Things to avoid are things like aspirin or ibuprofen as well as a lot of other medicines that could potentially harm or affect the result of the surgery. As far as the reasons why my packet is so explicit is because I want you to follow my instructions perfectly. I want the result to be as good as it can be and not to allow outside influences, such as taking the wrong medication or something that should have been talked about before the surgery all of a sudden become a problem down the road. So I’m very, very meticulous in terms of making sure my patients follow these instructions. Two of the things that I do tell my patients to take, one is Arnica Montana and one is Bromelain. But I also tell them to take at least a multi-vitamin that has a good level of Vitamin C as well as Zinc. Zinc and Vitamin C are building blocks of collagen. After the liposuction, we’re gonna experience a lot of skin shrinkage.
